Comparison

Thexly vs. Seline: founder revenue tools, compared without the fog

Seline is a privacy-first analytics product a lot of founders meet when they want something simpler than GA4, with revenue attached. Fair place to start.

This page is a Founder comparison. Agencies: see /for/agencies. We keep Agency SERP ownership there on purpose.

Seline

What Seline prices like

Seline bills on pageviews / events. Public FAQ copy starts at $9/mo. A published slider example is 25,000 pageviews = $14/mo (source: seline.com/pricing). Unlimited websites appear in public packaging, with linking rules. Retention is framed as forever on the pricing page we checked.

That is a strong early-stage shape if you want product analytics plus revenue linking and you are fine with traffic as the meter.

Thexly

What Thexly prices like

Thexly Starter is $19/mo for one site. We bill by sites and clients, not by traffic or events. No event meter on public Starter copy.

So on entry dollars alone, Seline's from $9line sits under Thexly Starter. If your filter is "cheapest self-serve analytics with Stripe," Seline can win that filter. We will not talk you out of math.

The question we care about is different: do you need a predictable sites bill and payment-verified ROAS when Meta and Google both claim the same sale?

The wedge

The double-count problem (why we exist)

Founder dashboards often look fine in isolation. Meta looks fine. Google looks fine. Then you open Stripe (or Polar, or another processor) and the totals do not add up.

Both platforms can credit one purchase when the journey overlaps. Summing the two claimed revenue numbers invents money. Payment revenue only counts once.

Educators say it plainly: never sum platform revenue. Use payment-verified numbers when the number has to survive a bank check.

Thexly is built around that story. We want you to see which ad closed money that cleared, without treating platform ROAS as a stackable total.

Seline also connects revenue (public marketing leans Stripe / Polar / Shopify, with MRR-oriented messaging). That is useful. Our comparison point is not "they have no revenue." It is that Thexly's public wedge is the Meta/Google double-count reconcile, priced by site rather than by pageviews.

Soft Watch

Soft Watch: Shopify DTC OS

If your book or product is almost all Shopify-native DTC, Triple Whale / Northbeam territory is usually a closer OS fit. Soft Watch / low fit for Thexly. We are built around Stripe-class checkouts: SaaS, AI, fintech, digital products. Honest answer beats a bad fit.

Light Agency aside

Agency packaging contrast (light aside, not this page's hero)

Seline's pricing FAQ notes that agencies often use separate projects / subscriptions per client. Thexly Agency is from $29/mo, up to 20 clients on one plan, with live share links. Full Agency story: /for/agencies.

If you are a solo founder on one site, ignore Agency for now. Starter is the parallel seat.

No heatmaps parity claims. No CAPI claims. No invented testimonials. No "deeper attribution" without method docs. Cookieless is table-stakes language on many peer sites; we are not using it as a differentiator here.

Are you picking for the lowest pageview bill, or for a number that still looks sane when Stripe and Ads Manager disagree?
