Alternatives
AgencyAnalytics alternative: when the client asks which campaigns paid
Who each tool is for
AgencyAnalytics is a client reporting platform. It pulls data from many marketing tools into branded dashboards and scheduled reports, so one agency can report SEO, paid, social, email and calls for every client in one place. Thexly does one narrower job. It matches each payment from the client's Stripe account (or Lemon Squeezy, Polar, Dodo or Yolfi) to the visit and campaign that led to it, and puts that in a live link the client can open. If you need the whole marketing report, AgencyAnalytics covers more ground. If the client keeps asking which campaigns brought in money that cleared, that is the job Thexly was built for.

What AgencyAnalytics says it does
Everything in this section comes from AgencyAnalytics' own pages, read on 23 October 2026.
The homepage calls it "Client intelligence for marketing agencies" and lists "85+ Integrations", "Client Portal", "White-Label Branding" and "Live Dashboards" among its features (AgencyAnalytics homepage).
The integrations page says: "Integrate all your SEO, PPC, social, email and call tracking services." (integrations). The pricing page lists "85+ marketing integrations" as included with every client (pricing page).
On branding, the white label page says you can "Host client dashboards on a custom domain and your own branded web app" (white label). The same page answers the client-login question directly: "An AgencyAnalytics report or dashboard shared as a link opens read-only with no sign-in."
For ad accounts, the Meta Ads page says it "pulls metrics, such as impressions, clicks, CTR, CPA, and ROAS, directly from Meta Ads Manager." (Meta Ads integration).
It also connects to Stripe. The help article says the integration "lets you easily share important payment, refund, and subscription metrics on your dashboards and reports." (Connect Stripe). The Stripe page lists "CLV, Refunds, Churn, and MRR" and says the data sits "alongside data from over 85 marketing platform integrations." (Stripe integration).
That is a lot of reporting done well: many sources, one branded report per client, and a link the client can open.
Two tools, two jobs
AgencyAnalytics brings each source's own numbers into one place. Meta's figures come from Ads Manager, and Stripe's payment, refund and subscription totals sit next to them on the same dashboard. On the pages we read, AgencyAnalytics describes its Stripe data as payment, refund and subscription metrics. We didn't find a description of matching each Stripe payment to the ad click or campaign that led to it. That is a note on what its pages say, not a test of the product.
Thexly starts from the payment. One script on the client's site picks up the ad click IDs and UTM tags. Thexly connects to the payment account, only ever reads payment data, and matches each payment back to the visit that led to it (docs). The result is a list of which campaigns brought in paid revenue. Your client can open it in a read-only link without creating an account (FAQ).
Thexly doesn't send conversions back to Meta or Google, and it doesn't pull ad spend. You bring spend from Ads Manager and Google Ads yourself (ad tracking guide, for agencies). It doesn't report SEO rankings, social, email or calls either.

When AgencyAnalytics is the better fit
Pick AgencyAnalytics if the monthly report has to cover SEO, social, email and call tracking as well as paid ads. Thexly covers none of those.
Pick it if white label matters: your logo, your colours, your domain, a branded app. Its white label page covers all four.
Pick it if you want ad spend, CPA and platform ROAS pulled in for you. Thexly leaves spend to you.
Pick it if the client's sales close on a call, in a CRM, or on a checkout Thexly doesn't connect to. Thexly isn't built for lead-gen (FAQ).
Agencies who use it say much the same. One agency owner on r/marketingagency described "a custom Agency Analytics report that automatically emails all of our clients the previous month's report on the 3rd of every month." (r/marketingagency thread). In a thread about leaving it, one reply put it plainly: "If Agency Analytics does what you need and clients are happy, no reason to switch." (r/AskMarketing thread).
When Thexly fits instead
- The client checks out on Stripe, Lemon Squeezy, Polar, Dodo or Yolfi.
- The question in the meeting is which campaigns brought in money that cleared, not how many payments Stripe took last month.
- You want a live link the client can open mid-month, instead of waiting for the next report.
- You're fine bringing spend from Ads Manager and Google Ads yourself.
Using both
You don't have to choose. Plenty of agencies could keep AgencyAnalytics for the full channel report and add Thexly for one line it doesn't give them: payments matched to campaigns. Our guide on Sheets, Looker and AgencyAnalytics vs payment attribution covers how the jobs split.
Test it on one client
You don't need to move the whole book to find out.
1. Pick one client who sells through Stripe and runs Meta or Google ads.
2. Add the Thexly script to their site and connect their payment account with a read-only key.
3. Let the 14-day trial run.
4. For the same dates, put what Meta and Google each say they earned next to the payments Thexly matched to their campaigns.
5. If the platforms add up to more than the payments, that gap is the conversation to have with the client.
Run the payment gap check on one client
Put what Meta and Google claim next to the payments that cleared, for one client, in a live link.
